i want to open up a shop! a shop of randoms! it will be filled with retro clothing, young artists' work, great inspirational books and crafty trinkets for people to take away! :) it's GENIUS! i decided that it's going to be my graduation gift from my daddy! teehee! i love being spoilt sometimes! i've proposed the idea to my dad and he's going through some preliminary areas that need to be covered before investing in my future. so nowwww i have to get my Business Communications and Marketing classes' lessons into action! wow... and all this time i thought it was a waste of school brain time.. tsk for me.
but i am starting small since i'm new to the business world. kerblimey i've never even had a real job before... let alone run my own business! (eep!) so i've started stocking up on some items like retro clothes, accessories and other artifacts. i've also got a collection of books that will come in handy in my mini library/bookstore section. aaaaand i've been collecting work from my friends; i want to display them and hopefully create a bigger network for my fellow designers! :) PLUS! this way i can have a proper space for an office! YAY i mean, if i'm going to be a freelance designer i'm going to need some kind of place BESIDES my house. yay! i love the thought of this the more i dive into it. i'm also planning on taking a semester in fashion... that way i can learn how to use a dang sewing machine.. it would come in handy when i want to get crafty. oh yes! that's right, i want to make crafts as gifts... and greeting cards... it will be SO much FUN!
let's just hope my dad sees it the same way. i just need to get a solid idea for the shop. make it sound legit to him so he'll be more into it. on top of all that, my uncle is already looking for a shop space for me=YAY.
